Tent Fumigation
Vikane gas fumigation — the most thorough treatment for widespread drywood termite infestations. You will be out of the home for 3 nights.

$1,500–$4,000
Chemical-free whole-structure option
Heat Treatment
Whole-structure heat treatment raises internal temperatures to 135–150°F, eliminating drywood termites without chemicals. Same-day re-entry.
Comparable in cost to fumigation. Preferred when avoiding chemicals is a priority.
$500–$1,500
Localized drywood treatment
Orange Oil Treatment
d-Limonene injected directly into termite galleries. No tenting, no evacuation. Best for contained, accessible infestations.
Not recommended for widespread or inaccessible infestations. Same-day re-entry.

Liquid barrier / colony elimination
Subterranean Termite Treatment

Preventive wood treatment
Borate Treatment (BoraCare)

$300–$1,500
Wood decay repair
Dry Rot Repair
Removal and replacement of dry rot-damaged wood, including fascia, eaves, sill plates, and structural members. Often discovered during termite inspection.
Scope and accessibility determine cost. Repairs may be combined with termite treatment.
What Affects the Final Price
Structure Size
Larger homes require more product, equipment time, and labor. Fumigation and heat treatment are priced primarily by cubic footage. Liquid barrier is priced by linear perimeter footage.
Infestation Extent
Widespread infestations may require whole-structure treatments rather than localized options, affecting which methods are appropriate and their cost.
Site Conditions
Hard soil, thick concrete slabs, tight crawl spaces, or complex rooflines can add to treatment time and cost for liquid barrier and fumigation work.
Treatment Method
Localized orange oil is the most affordable starting point for drywood infestations. Whole-structure options (heat, fumigation) cost more but cover the entire structure in one treatment.
