What we do, and what we don't

Ultimate Termite is a Structural Pest Control Board Branch 3 company — wood-destroying organisms only. Drywood termites, subterranean termites, fungal decay, wood-boring beetles, and the structural damage they leave behind. Terminix and Orkin do general pest control with termite work as an add-on. We don't. WDO is all we do, and that focus is the difference between an inspector who knows what to look for in a Southern California crawl space and a tech running a routine checklist.

How we approach inspections

Every house is different. As an inspector you have to stay flexible — read the structure, listen to what the customer is telling you, look in the places the script doesn't cover. A few years back, an inspection in Rancho Palos Verdes turned up subterranean termites that had eaten the floor joists out from underneath — a previous resident had fallen through. That's the kind of damage that gets missed when an inspection is a routine walk-through. We take the time to actually look.

What we don't do

The biggest red flag in this trade is salesmen with monthly quotas. When a tech needs to hit a number to earn their bonus, every house starts looking like it needs a $4,000 fumigation. We've talked plenty of customers out of treatments they didn't need — sometimes recommending an $800 spot treatment for a fraction of what another company quoted them. No quotas, no upsells, no scripts. We'd rather you call a neighbor and tell them we were honest.

Two treatments for the price of one

Every treatment includes a second identical treatment 12 months later — at no extra cost. Most companies do the initial job and call it done. We don't, because in Southern California's climate the follow-up is what actually keeps the structure protected. It's why we've kept the same customers across 27 years and built Ultimate Termite from referrals rather than ads.

How we got here

Ultimate Termite Control was founded in 2007. The story starts earlier than that — when a 14-year-old went to work with his neighbor for a day, got hooked on how termites lived and worked, and waited until he was 18 to start treating in 1999. Seven years as a licensed inspector turned into more than 120 customers who wouldn't let anyone else do their work, and the company grew from there. Today we serve Orange County, LA County, Inland Empire, and Riverside County, and we've inspected over 10,000 homes across the region. CA Structural Pest Control License #PR7791.
