Treatments
- Local Treatments are recommended as one way to treat your termite infestation. This treatment involves drilling directly into the the wood and injecting temiticide into the termite galleries to get a direct hit on the colony. It stays in the wood that the termites eat causing them to transfer the termiticide to one another.
- Wet Spray Attic is done to treat and prevent future termite infestations. It works by coating the wood to create a barrier to protect against drywood termites, wood boring beetles, and decay fungi. This gives you protection in a space that can some times be overlooked.
- Sub Treatment if you are on a raised foundation you may have a sub area that can be invaded by termites both drywood and subterranean. Treatment of this area is done by scraping any mud tubes made by subterranean termites, removing any large cellulose debris and anything that is rake-able size to clear the area before treating the soil with Termidor termiticide. The exposed wood in the sub area is then sprayed with Bora Care to give. it a protective coating.
- Fumigation Whole house fumigation is available to homeowners this is a multi-day process. Advanced notice is needed to be able to have the gas company turn off the gas. Homeowners will be provided NyloFume bags to store food items and further instructions. It takes approximately 72 hours to complete this process. Homeowners will have to be out of the house until the house is cleared to re-enter, and must be home for the gas company to turn the gas back on. This is a knock down kill which means it will kill everything but there is no residual protection so the termites can come back.
